Our Pastor, Founder, and Friend, Pastor Gustafson went home to be with the Lord. He will be missed and yet we rejoice that he is with the Lord for eternity. We are thankful for the ground work that he set forth and for the legacy he leaves behind.
“We are very excited to have the plans finished for the Robert R. Gustafson Center. The center will be home to a new gymnasium, 12 classrooms, and two lecture auditoriums. The center will also have locker rooms, concessions, and administrative offices. The facility will increase our student capacity and expand our ability to provide new programs in sports for students of all grades. By adding a second gymnasium, we will be able to engage the elementary students in exciting interscholastic leagues, provide a greater capacity for all of our teams, and be the new home of the GCS Patriots varsity sports. The building will be named in honor of our founder Dr. Robert Gustafson, who was the visionary of this great school ministry. I, myself, came to know the Lord throug the ministry of Grace Christian School. I am so thankful for what GCS has meant to this community for more than forty years. Would you please consider a special gift to the completion of this building? We thank you inadvance for your participation. I know that the Lord will bless your gift towards this cause.”
– Barry McKeen, Pastor/Administrator.

Student Outreach and Resources (S.O.A.R.) is a program designed to serve students who have been diagnosed with a specific learning disability, or similar learning challenge, and are working on a current individual education program (IEP) or 504 plan. This program was launched in August of 2015 and has been successful in helping students build confidence in themselves, as well as improve academically. Currently we are able to assist students who are in the 1st through 12th grade.
Accepted students will be engaged and challenged in a general education classroom where modifications to curriculum will be made, as well as accommodations according to the student’s unique needs, documented in the IEP. Students will also participate in intensive small group sessions, or be given one-on-one assistance focused on the student’s individual area of academic and/or social struggle. This extra support will occur outside of the student’s main classroom in an environment designed with these particular students in mind.

Join us this year for our 37th Annual Grace Christian Golf Classic. The school is supported by both tuition and contributions. Contributions are very important educating our students as our tuition does not cover all of those costs. Our desire has been to provide a Academic Excellence for every boy and girl and the Grace Christian Golf Classic has been a mainstay in helping support our students for 37 years.

Many of you knew Marlyn Carlton and were impacted by having her in your lives. She was a caring, compassionate soul with an amazing sense of humor and a magnetic personality. She attended GCS and supported Christian education with special projects including helping expand a school library. The Lord called Marlyn home on September 25, 2013 at the age of 34 after a tremendous fight with breast cancer. Grace Christian School is committed to honoring Marlyn’s legacy of service and commitment to Christian education with the creating of the Marlyn Carlton Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship will be given annually to a student that could not attend Grace Christian School otherwise. We see this Christian school as a community where students not only learn about Jesus Christ, but also nurture the desire to have a daily relationship with Him. Its innovative, integrated program weaves together the honors curriculum with Biblical teaching. Students experience the joy of learning in an intimate setting where each child can develop socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually with the warmth and nurturing of an experienced faculty.
In order to endow the scholarship, and ensure that it will be given each year until the Lord calls up him, we will need to raise $120,000. We write to ask you to consider a donation to endowment for the Marlyn Carlton Memorial Scholarship. A donate online button is included below for your convenience. We hope that you will help support our efforts.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
